If you enjoy skating and sometimes wish you could go faster, then consider giving speed skating a try.
If your kids are interested in speed skating, why not join them for practice? For many, speed skating is a family sport activity with both kids and parents rolling and skating around.

- Use of the skating facility for practices when public session or private parties are not using the rink
- Participation in club social functions (including the Christmas party/potluck and the Summer picnic/potluck—which may include a park ride bracelet for the day, and the Fall Awards banquet) all of which are subsidized by the club
- A full staff of talented coaches to assist in gaining proficiency in both artistic and speed skating
- Participation in the proficiency test system to measure one’s progress
- Opportunity to participate in interclub, regional and national competitions
- Judges panel to increase knowledge of skating and become qualified to judge events
- Qualifying for travel funds to help defray the cost of participating in the national championships. Funds are allocated according to the member’s participation in club fund raising activities.

- Active members are skaters who are currently paying club dues
- On-leave members do not skate or pay dues while on leave

|
- Participate in fundraising activities. This participation earns points toward travel funds
- Support fellow skaters and be a positive and cooperative role model to each other, especially the less experienced skaters
- While skating be respectful and aware of other skaters
- Be safe at all times
- Encourage all skaters. We are a stronger club when we support each other and develop our beginning club members
- Support and help develop our young skaters—they are our future
- Follow ALL guidelines written in club bylaws.
